Cynthia A. Maldonado is a dedicated attorney at the Law Office of Bryan Fagan, bringing over two decades of experience in family law and criminal prosecution. Originally from the Rio Grande Valley, she developed a passion for the law while studying at Baylor University, where she earned a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Spanish. She later obtained her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University.

Cynthia’s legal journey began as a third-year law student, handling her first divorce case and interning with the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office, where she assisted with protective orders. She later served as a prosecutor in Cameron and Bexar counties, specializing in domestic violence and child abuse cases. Notably, she co-authored a Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) grant, securing funding for Brownsville’s first-ever domestic violence unit.

Beyond her legal career, Cynthia is deeply involved in her community. She has served as a CASA advocate and Girl Scout troop leader, demonstrating her commitment to supporting children and families. A devoted wife and mother, she enjoys coaching her daughter’s basketball team, hiking, and traveling with her family.
